The Mercury Gauging & Tooling group are manufacturers of internal thread gauges and external thread gauges, these include screw ring gauges and screw plug gauges of both standard and non standard forms. We also offera sub-contract thread grinding service and calibration on both old and new gauges.

We are specialists in attribute gauges, and offer a complete Design & Manufacturing service to suit the customer's exact requirements, in both 2D and 3Dcad form. We supply full CAD drawings and certificates where required. This is now complimented by our Charmilles wire eroding facility, we are able to manufacture the most complex designs.

We can also supply today's engineer with the ultimate in cutting tool technology in both standard and special HSSE taps, and high performance taps. With an extensive range of high performance thread milling cutters, HSSE & carbide drills and cutters, we can accomodate virtually all eventualities.

.: Screw Thread Gauges

As a major manufacturer of both screw ring gauges and screw plug gauges, all standard screw thread gauges are ex-stock and in most instances an order can be despatched on a SAME DAY basis.

Together with standard thread gauges, we also manufacture screw ring and plug gauges of non-standard forms and pitch/diameter combinations. All gauges can be supplies with either an IN HOUSE, or a FULL UKAS certificate.

.: Contract Thread Grinding A sub-contract thread grinding service is available within the company. Both internal and external threads can be ground in a wide range of materials. Components typically ground include lead screws and nuts, crushing rollers, hydraulic units, plastic moulds and electrodes. We believe that within Mercury we have the expertise to answer your questions on screw threads and we are willing to offer any advice or assistance you may find helpful

.: Special Gauges, CAD & Wire EDM Mercury Gauging & Tooling can also supply a range of special purpose gauges to either the customers drawings, or offer a complete Design & Manufacture to suit the exact requirements. Jigs, Fixtures and receiver type gauging incorporating DTI or electrical outputs, and also wireless gauging. CAD design system. Model / 3D CAD manutacturing. Charmilles 5 Axis Wire EDM, 2D and 3D form work.
